The do’s and don’t while choosing the best white wine for cooking are as follows-

1. Don’t go for oaky whites- you would of course want to avoid bold and buttery wines as they can overpower the dish and give it a bitter taste.
2. Choose a dry wine with high acidity- choosing a crisp white wine with some light fruit flavours, mainly citrus helps to level up the taste of the dishes.
3. Choose a wine that is not high in alcohol- stick to white wine with low alcohol content, usually under 12.5% ABV.
